What We Do

At the Bradfield Club, we are blessed with having a unique space in which to call our home and at its very heart is our sport hall. For over 100 years, the sports hall has seen its share of family parties, community support initiatives and many a sweaty game of five a side football and basketball. Today it is home to our health and fitness programmes, which caters for all ages and abilities.

Activities

Fitness classes

Are held three times a week in our bright and welcoming sports hall, using our extensive equipment collection, accompanied with heart pounding tracks, many of our members and their friends and family enjoy a mixture of boxercise and aerobic focused exercise classes.

Many of our fitness class members have found the classes to be a fun way to get fit, gain confidence in other areas of their life, meet new people and be very beneficial to their overall mental health.

We are open to third party fitness clubs to regularly hire the hall, as is the case with the Taekwondo Club who have happily hired the hall for many years. We also welcome member suggestions for additional classes, both using internal or external instructors. We hope to run street self-defence classes later this year, for example.

Activities

Badminton Training

We offer Badminton Training on request, and there is no need to bring your own equipment, as we have rackets and nets. The sports hall is an ideal space for badminton coaching and space for two to three nets for games.

Activities

Kids Club

Kids’ Club is a relaxed, friendly space for children aged 5-10 to unwind after school. Children can dive into arts and crafts, team games, multi‑sports, music, themed activity days and school‑holiday or weekend trips. We also offer a healthy snack or a warm meal to keep everyone fuelled and happy.

Our Community Hero Project helps children discover the brilliant things local groups and organisations do for the area, from emergency services to everyday community helpers.

Everything we do encourages kindness, teamwork and confidence, giving children a safe, happy place to play, learn and grow together.

Activities

Music Suite

We have a dedicated space at the Club for music composition, using our XLP mobile suite, which has proved popular with our members, either as a great introduction to lyric writing, track construction and recording techniques or those with a natural music ability to bring their creation to life and pilot the tracks with their fellow members and social media sites.

We have several past members that are recording artists or music technicians, who frequently revisit the Club to help present members with their musical ambitions and share their experiences of working in the music industry.

Activities

Basketball Club

Historically, football has always been the prime sport at the Club, however, during more recent times, basketball has taken the lead but as the sports hall is marked out as basketball court, it’s ideal for competitive matches and on court training.

Our Basketball members have previously received in-house training from a professional basketball coach and now meet twice a week to train and play fast paced but fun, competitive matches.

The players (11 to 17 years old) that attend are passionate, dedicated, kind and talented. There are even rumours of a Bradfield basketball team on the horizon, so watch this space for more updates. If you know somebody in the age range that likes to shoot hoops, please tell them about the Club.

Activities

Football

The sports hall is a great space for five aside football matches and we have all the infrastructure to ensure a fun, competitive game. We welcome five a side clubs and one-off match sessions.
