The Bradfield Club
As soon as you step inside the Bradfield Club, the friendly faces and welcoming and energetic atmosphere will make you feel at home. This has been the case, for over a hundred years of the Bradfield Club’s existence, offering young people and the surrounding community in Southwark, with a safe environment in which to play, learn, eat and find individual support.
We offer a wide range of programmes, including:
A well-equipped sports hall is ideal for all types of indoor sporting events from five aside football to roller discos and is also available for hire for special events such as weddings, birthday parties and community events.
The Bradfield Club’s objectives include the provision of facilities for the education and recreation of children and young persons residents in the London Borough of Southwark so as to promote and develop their physical, social, spiritual and mental capacities.
Our vision is that all young people around Southwark grow up in a safe and happy environment so they can be healthy, wise and confident and able to pursue a fulfilling life for themselves whilst making a positive contribution to their families and communities.
Our purpose is to consistently provide safe facilities and activities that young people enjoy, whilst providing them with effective support, encouragement and opportunities to enable them to become healthy, wise and confident adults that are able to pursue fulfilling and happy lives for themselves, their families and communities.
What Do Club Members’ Parents Think
“My son is very shy and often suffers from separation anxiety. He was able to make a friend on the second day of the programme, he is now a happy club member”.
“All my kids love the club so much and the fact that it’s free is just amazing. We love you guys”.
“My daughter really enjoyed her two weeks, thank you”.
100 years on, the objectives of the Bradfield Club remain unchanged, but we realize the challenges facing our young people are more complex than in the past and the social economic hurdles they encounter hit them earlier in their lives than in previous generations. But thanks to our fantastic youth team, our amazing volunteers, generous partners and supporters, the Bradfield Club continues to provide that safety net for young people and the wider community.
